Faith Strategies Part 2

Prepare for Battle
Deuteronomy 20:1-4, The Message Bible
When you go to war against your enemy and see horses and chariots and soldiers far outnumbering you, do not recoil in fear of them; God, your God, who brought you up out of Egypt is with you. When the battle is about to begin, let the priest come forward and speak to the troops. He’ll say, “Attention, Israel. In a few minutes you’re going to do battle with your enemies. Don’t waver in resolve. Don’t fear. Don’t hesitate. Don’t panic. God, your God, is right there with you, fighting with you against your enemies, fighting to win.

Know Where you Stand
Christians are called by the Lord to walk in love, be at peace with those around them, and to fight in the spirit. Just as we live on earth in the physical realm, there is an ongoing battle taking place in the spiritual realm. On occasion, you will experience the physical manifestation of a spiritual attack, so you have to be on guard at all times.

Christians have to fight for the promises of God to be manifested in their lives. You can experience heaven on earth, but it’s not going to come knocking at your door; you have to seek it and fight for it. However, while you are seeking godly treasures, the devil is on a steady rampage of theft and slaughter (mind you physical, spiritual and emotional). Don’t think for one minute that he feels sorry for you. To him everyone, saved or unsaved, is fair game. Those who don’t know God are already at a loss, but Christians have been given all of the tools and instructions for conquering the enemy. When you got saved, you instantly received the promise of deliverance, prosperity, healing and renewal. But only your faith will allow those promises manifest.

Previously, I taught on faith strategies which are actually divine plans from the Lord. Faith strategies are only revealed to those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 (The Amplified Bible) says, “But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

Do What You Can Do
In order to see victory in your life, there are spiritual strategies that you should adopt like, consistently studying the Word, walking in faith, making godly confessions daily, as well as being mindful of who/what you listen to and watch. These are excellent and proven ways to build your spirit.

Additionally, since you live on earth among human beings, there are several practical, wisdom strategies that you can apply that are just as effective as the spiritual ones. Again, our God is not random, incomplete nor unorganized. He has given us a complete blueprint that (if we obey) will lead us to success, victory, and our heavenly promises on earth. Sometimes the victory that we are praying and fasting for is directly linked to the way we treat others. Below are some points in relationships and character that you should consider. The Lord wants us to be balanced in every area of our lives because we represent Him.

Good Relationships
Practice People Skills
First, the way you interact with people holds a lot of weight. For example, smile more. Thirty percent of your trouble will leave if you do. The Word teaches us about showing ourselves friendly (Proverbs 15:13). Second, look your best at all times (1 Samuel 16:7). People judge you based on your appearance. The way you look and present yourself reflects your
self-esteem. Third, make prayer a habit. Covering your family in prayer is so important because the enemy wants to destroy them. Satan always comes after the weakest link (James 5:16).

Kindness Is Key
1. Don’t hold back your forgiveness.
2. Be helpful.
3. Carefully use your tongue, and refuse to say anything negative. Also, never yell at one another (Matthew 12:35-37, Proverbs 10:19).
4. Get rid of the following four personalities: the baby, the horse, the dog and the gorilla. Babies are selfish, horses nag, dogs play around, and gorillas are violent.
5. Keep your word. People tend to lie out of fear, but fear is the opposite of faith (Ecclesiastes 5:4-6).
6. Refuse to argue. Arguments are about control, and you are not in control (Ephesians 4:26-27).
7. Spend time with those you love. Merely living with a person does not make you connected to them.
8. Never sell God out for the sake of a relationship nor compromise your values to maintain a relationship. Don’t allow yourself to be influenced to leave God.
9. Use your humor carefully.
10. Pick your friends wisely.
11. Sex is for marriage because it creates a soul tie. It’s the godly addiction for marriage which was a plan of the Lord. Many people engage in sex outside of marriage, but it warrants a high cost. Fornication and adultery form ungodly soul ties and open doors in your life for the enemy to wreak havoc on not only you but those around you. Honor the Lord, and be faithful to your spouse (it will make life a little easier for everyone)!

To sum this up, treat others the way you want to be treated. Luke 6:31 (The Amplified Bible) says, “And as you would like and desire that men would do to you, do exactly so to them.”
