Kingdom Economics Part 2

Ponder This: What is the value of money if it is not used for good? How much money has been spent to murder and abuse the innocent?

The world is based on a system of scarcity while the kingdom is based on a system of abundance (Matthew 6:25). As discussed in Kingdom Economics Part 1, God has a detailed plan for money, and it begins with money being in the hands of Christians. Just like you have to get information on maintaining your health, you need wisdom on managing your money. When Christians abuse money, it takes away from the kingdom of God. Today, change your mind about money. Remember that the number one priority for money is to build the kingdom of the Lord and serve Him. Do you serve God with your money? Do you consistently work for the Lord, tithe and give offerings? Wealth is gained by giving, and it is everywhere! Ask the Lord to show you where it is.

Time Is Money
The way that you spend your time reflects your character and your priories; in fact, your wealth is in your day. It’s important to sow your finances in the kingdom of God as well as your time. He needs His people to spend some hours working for Him. When you serve in the church and volunteer on church projects, those are forms of sowing your time. You don’t have to be a part of fifty ministries; have balance (Genesis 2:1). If everyone does their part, no one will be overwhelmed. When you make a habit of giving your time to the Lord, He will open doors to blessings.

A Word on Working
You have a purpose; it reflects who are you as well as your skills. Work is spiritual and prepares you for your purpose. Working is scriptural; in fact, God worked (Genesis 1:11-12). Be a blessing to your boss. Don’t be that employee that causes your boss to sigh and tense up when your name is mentioned. Remember that wherever you are, God is there too, so you represent Him. Work is the flavor of life. It’s about giving of yourself wherever you are (Mark 16:15, John 4:34).

Remember in Kingdom Economics Part 1, I said that God wants you to do more than barely get by. Your job should not be your only source of income. The acronym of job is Just Over Broke. Jesus died for your heavenly and earthly abundance. He destroyed the devil’s work and provided you with a kingdom life. Luke 4:18 (The Amplified Bible) says, “The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity].”

Christians have an earthly assignment that is attached to Heaven. Your number one job is to seek the kingdom and win souls. As you live in faith believing God for your wealth, get wisdom and understanding in finances and thank God for your debt freedom (Mathew 6:11-12).

Kingdom Economics Part 1

Ponder This: What would you do for God if you had all the money that you needed?

Have you ever considered the purpose for money? You need it for more than paying bills. The Lord has a divine purpose for money. First, money enables us to meet our physical needs. Second, money allows us to set a godly example by helping those in need, and third, we can do the work of the Father by evangelizing the world and taking more ground for Him. Have you ever wondered why sinners are rich? It’s because they work for the devil and believe in themselves (Genesis 1:28-29) It doesn’t matter what life looks like, know that the enemy is a liar and he wants to destroy your faith. The Lord has a financial plan for you!

The Church Enslaved
Slave master spirits are hovering over the church (Exodus 1:8). The slave master spirit is manifested in the form of debt, lack, financial limits and the poverty mindset. Even though the Word of God states that Christians are rich, the slave master spirit says otherwise. The tragedy is that Christians have succumbed to the lie and become financial slaves. But the good news is that the church can experience the manifested wealth that Jesus died for. He wants us to build His kingdom and enjoy life on earth! God has given us everything we need to be successful in the earth; in fact, he has given each of us an assignment. If we walk in our assignment, the wealth will automatically come. Then, we will be able to support the work of the kingdom.

Wealth Talk

The moment you got saved, you became healed, delivered, and rich! Yes, when you became a Christian, you were granted access to customized treasures created just for you. In heaven, wealth is normal; it’s a part of the kingdom culture. For example, Revelation 21:21 describes metals and jewels as second-rate materials used in Heaven. The street pavement is gold, and city gates are made from pearl. Even the city foundations are made of precious gems. Heaven operates on a level of wealth that the human mind can’t comprehend! There are no bad credit scores, bounced checks, payday loans, or declined mortgage applications in Heaven. Abundance is what He has destined for you not just in Heaven but on earth too; you can have it if you have faith for it.
Check Your Watch, and Get Your Money
It’s time to collect your wealth that the Lord has promised you! Every Christian has their own wealth package plan. God gave you an inheritance without you having to die for it; Jesus already took care of that. Therefore, you are not subject to financial slavery any longer. Your unclaimed money is just sitting waiting on you. The Lord wants you to be financially prosperous just as much as He wants your body free from illness and pain. But you have got to totally believe Him for it. Christians can have whatever they need and desire. Galatians 3:14 (The Amplified Bible) says, “To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit.”

The Lord is not in the business of barely getting by and scraping for scraps. He did not intend for your job to be only source of income. Jobs are a blessing, but they are designed from the world system. In fact, an acronym of job is Just Over Broke. Your heavenly Father wants you to have multiple streams of income. How do you get them? Ask Him to reveal your purpose, walk in it and watch the wealth flow.

What Next?
Receive the blessing now, and continue to walk by faith. Thank the Lord for your wealth and the wisdom to manage it. Also, do what you can do. Take a look at your current money management. Work on the areas that need improving. Do you tithe and give offerings? Your obedience to the Word affects your finances too.

2 Peter 1:3 (The Amplified Bible) says that, “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).” Begin to thank the Lord for miracle debt reductions! It can certainly happen to you. Like 12:31-32 says, “31Only aim at and strive for and seek His kingdom, and all these things shall be supplied to you also. 32Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom!” Always be productive. Prosperity does not come from laziness. Lazy people lack discipline because they don’t have enough self-control to feed themselves; also, lazy people to not get their inheritance from the Lord (Proverbs 26:13).

Never forget that you rule the earth and everything in it (Genesis 1:26); you are rich
(2 Corinthians 8:9), and you have as much wealth today as you have faith for!

Wealth Management
So when your wealth manifests on the earth, when it’s in your hands and your bank accounts, the Lord has instructions for you. First, you must give to whom He assigns you. You are not called to help everyone. Seek the Lord in who you should assist and where to invest because the enemy doesn’t want you prosperous. He wants to limit your resources (any way that he can) because he is afraid of your prosperity. John 10:10 (The Amplified Bible) says, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
