Put God First

Put God First
The year 2014 is going to be a supernatural harvest and breakthrough year for Christians. But before we get there, we must be positioned correctly to receive the magnificent blessings that are to come.

First and Foremost…

God must be first in your life (Exodus 13:11, Leviticus 27:26, Deuteronomy 26:1). As you dedicate your time, talent, or treasure to the Lord, remember that He will never let you give something to Him without you receiving something greater in return. Many times God gets reprioritized in our lives during the course of the year. For example, we may seek do to things that benefit us first and not Him. The Lord must be our number one priority, and we must keep Him first—one decision at a time.

Attitude Says a Lot

Our hearts and attitudes determine the measure of our harvests. Abraham, Joshua and the famous widow (who fed the prophet Elijah—1 Kings 17) not only kept the Lord first, but did so in the right attitude. What’s the point of being obedient if we are doubtful and reluctant? These three trusted the Lord with a mindset of expectancy. And in each of their lives, the harvest of their obedience was more than they ever dreamed of. Think about it, we’re still talking about their testimonies today. They put God’s agenda before theirs.

Are you going to put the Lord first?

How to Spot a Demon

Fact: Demons love to hide, and they pretend not to exist.  No one in the midst of you should be oppressed by a demon because you should be living a kingdom life.  If you see a demon in your area, cast it out!

Christians cannot be possessed by demons if they have the Holy Spirit in their lives.  However, demons may be around us and try to influence us in negative ways.  Is there a demonic activity taking place in your life?  View the list at the bottom to find out.

Profile of Demonic Activity

  • ·         You live a “tore up” lifestyle.
  • ·         Your home is dysfunctional.
  • ·         You have only known lack/poverty.
  • ·         You have a problem with lust, and you are married…or single.
  • ·         You are unstable and restless.
  • ·         You see the negative in everything and are never happy.
  • ·         You can’t hold a job.
  • ·         You fight all the time and with everyone around you.
  • ·         You are sleeping with a person that you are not married to (fornication).

Good News and Clues!

John 10:10 (The Message Bible) says, “A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”  This means that you can live a victorious life over demonic activity.  Satan should have no place in your life.  Below is a grid that lists the names of demons, and how they enter a person’s life.

Demonic Names Form of Entry
Ignorance/No-Identity This spirit enters through low self esteem and lack of impartation of the Word of God.  This spirit is present when a person has no power in their life; they are like an empty house.   Luke 11:24

  • ·         Chemical Addition
  • ·         Sexual Addiction
  • ·         Abusers
This is spirit loves people that can be tempted to do one behavior.  The behavior is pleasurable and focuses on a person’s weakness.
Blame This is spirit carries a scapegoat mentality and does not like to take responsibility.  Gives a reason to disobey God and not to feel God.
Fear Drives people to make bad choices.  This demon hides in loneliness and hates the anointing that is found in Christian fellowship.
Pride This spirit drives people to make ungodly choices due to exaggerated feelings about self.  It puts self-above everybody else.  The spirit of pride is often found in gifted people.
Control Manipulates people.  It’s the macho personality that does whatever it needs to keep control over others.   Matthew 10:37
Chaos This spirit is found in absence of restraint and discipline.  This spirit often abuses relationships and never shows love.
Duplicity This spirit causes one to always be guarded.  Lying is more comfortable than telling the truth.

Soul Tie Connected to a person who is controlled by a demon.  Often found in relationships between people who are engaged in fornication.  Demonic spirits often transfer between partners. The spirit of control is often present between people with ungodly soul ties.
Unforgiveness This is the birthplace of anger, violence and murder.  The consequences of unforgivness are going to Hell.  Unforgiveness will distort your personality.  Hebrews 12:14, Matthew 6:14
Misogyny This personality holds pride against women and dishonors women.
Unthankfulness This spirit makes people blind to the blessings of God.  People who are unthankful often abuse what they are given by attacking, loosing and leaving their blessings.
Religion This spirit came after Jesus and nailed Him to the cross.  Religious spirits judge everybody and cause division in the body of Christ.  Ironically, religious spirits are attracted to the move of God, but try to hinder it. They are known for infiltrating the body of Christ through words.  Matthew 3:7, Matthew 12:30, 1 John 2:19.  In the Bible, Jesus often referred to the Sadducees and Pharisees as a brood of vipers.  Like serpents, they plant their eggs of vice in empty, vulnerable locations.  Keep your heart full of the Word, so the spirit of religion won’t be planted in you!

Detoxify Your Spirit: Casting Demons Out

1.      Get the Word of God in your heart daily.

2.      Make sure you have been filled with Holy Spirit along with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.

3.      Cast the devil out of your life when you see him trying to creep in.  Bind him in the name of Jesus.

4.      Forgive always (Forgiveness brings favor and the backing of God in your life).

5.      Know who you are (Your identity is in Jesus Christ, and in Him you have been made a new creature).

Live a victorious life—the kingdom life that you were destined for!
