Walking in Godly Authority

As Christians, we have been adopted into the family of God (Galatians 3:26 and 4:6). As His children, we are entitled to all kingdom rights and privileges. The Lord is our Daddy; we have rights to everything He owns and—just for the record—He is not poor. One of the most important things we inherited from Him is authority.

Change Your Vision

Your duty as a child of God is to destroy the works of the devil in the earth. This power is a part of the total salvation package that Jesus died for you to have. You need to get a clear picture of yourself and understand that you are a royal ruler. See yourself as the leader that you are; the Lord has graced you to do so. Remember that mature children of God walk are not doormats; they graciously walk in their authority because they are authorized by divine power (1 John 4:4).

Exert Your Power in a Godly Way

Start commanding challenges in your life to line up with the Word of God. Do not tolerate foolishness from the enemy. You have to exercise your authority because it is preparation for Heaven (Genesis 1:26, John 5:19). Through salvation, we have been positioned to rule over darkness and demons. God expects us to be firm with the devil because his agenda is to destroy us. However, we must have a balance and be sure to display the love of God to those around us. Our authority should not be used to humiliate or belittle people. We are trying to draw people to Christ not push them away.

As a mature Christian, use your leadership to inspire by example. In Ephesians 2:1-6 of the Message Bible, says that:

1 -6It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.

Dominion Belongs to God

When you come across the spirits of drama and adversity, let your godly authority rise up in you. That’s why it is important to stay steeped in the Word so that your flesh won’t get in the way. Your authority is limitless and has the ability to move mountains in your life. Your job is to secure the land with your confession and faith and to not succumb to the devil’s attacks (Mark 11:22, Hebrews 11:6, Psalms 8:3).

You should never want for anything in Christ because He has already given you everything you need for life and godliness. The challenges are coming, so you have to be ready. Your power to rule is inside of you so begin to develop it. Your power grows when you refuse to give in t emotions and pain. Make your choices up on the Word of God—not how you feel. Remember that you reign as a believer and that you have the victory in every situation. Keep your thoughts in line with the Word!

Wealth is all around you!

Get Out of Hell

Did you know that lack is hell? It’s torment to have expenses and not be able to pay for them. It is pure distress to always borrow money because you don’t have enough. Do you hate the excruciating pain of not having your needs met? Are you in agony because of what you wish you had? Doesn’t it burn you up to see the people around you blessed, while you are still waiting, wishing and hoping for yours? It’s not holy to be poor, in fact, it is torture.

The Big Cheese

Good news! There is a place of abundance for YOU! My definition of prosperity is wealth revealed. My definition of poverty is wealth asleep. When you follow the Lord’s instruction, your prosperity will be awakened. Your money is waiting for you to wake it up! In fact, money should be flowing to you constantly. You are never to be without it.

Keep in mind that money has a divine purpose (Proverbs 11:10, Psalms 122:9). Riches are designed to be blessing to people and to be planted into the kingdom of the Lord. Wealth should support His objectives which include mission work, Christian education and community outreach.

What about the 9 to 5?

You can’t expect for God to pour a blessing on you if you are not productive. If you are not employed, make a job or begin looking for one immediately. The Father will only bless what you put your hands to. Faithfulness is all. You will not receive a blessing if you are not faithful. Inconsistency blocks blessings. The devil is always going hurl reasons at you to stop being faithful. Be unwavering in your commitment to what the Lord shows you. Remember that Holy Spirit pours out on the diligent.

Jobs and businesses are not your source, because they are shakable systems of the world. Never forget that God is your source. And since you are in His image, you are a creator, like Him! You speak what you want to see. Even though jobs and businesses are not our source, they are useful channels to produce money. The purpose of your job or business is to train you for prosperity. Jobs and businesses also help you develop discipline, faithfulness and money management skills.

Keep the Order

As the Lord begins to bless you with wealth, it is important for you to have a pre-established plan for your money. Above all, you must continue to tithe off of all that He gives you. Tithing is an act of faith in God that He will take care of you. Next, you should always be prepared to bless the man or woman of God in your life. The word of the Lord is in their mouth. Your man and woman of God go before the Lord consistently on your behalf and have dedicated their lives to ministering to you (Ezra 6:14, Proverbs 3:1-2). Bless them. Finally, you should maintain a budget and stick to it. Ask the Lord for wisdom in managing your money. Remember Joseph who was second in command in Egypt? The Lord gave him a distinctive plan to prepare for the seven year famine that swept through the land.

You have to be generous to prosper. Selfishness stifles your blessing. Follow the selfless example of Jesus Christ. He gave His life so that you would not only be saved, but life a victorious and prosperous life on Earth.
